Our ‘scout field’ is exclusively used for group camping. We have bell tents, or you are welcome to bring your own tents! We have the option of a marquee for group use too.  Perfect for school groups, the spacious bell tents paired with shower/washroom block make the experience safe and easy. Whether it’s exploring the local area or enjoying instructor-led activities, everything you need is conveniently within reach.

With the perfect balance of outdoor fun and comfort, our campsite ensures an unforgettable and hassle-free school trip or educational visit.

Instructor-led activities include kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, windsurfing, sailing, high ropes, archery and team challenges.

Beds and activities up to 80

We offer bell tents for accommodation; each bell tent is best suited for 4-5 people. Camp beds are provided in the per night fee. Minimum of 2 nights required. The field has a water point and is a short walk away from the facilities. Tents are set out to have a gender split with male one side of the field and female the other with staff accommodation down the middle creating separation between living spaces. Available May to September.

Our charity subsidises prices for ‘uniformed’ groups:

2 hour session – £190 per group of 8 participants. One activity.

3 hour session – £270 per group of 8 participants. Can mix 2 activities.5 hour (full day) – £375 per group of 8 participants. Can mix 3 activities.

All staff are first aiders – no staff on-site overnight.

Toilets and accessible toilet, changing rooms, showers, marquees, dining hall, ‘tuck shop’, covered communal BBQ area.

Breakfast – continental or bacon rolls.

Lunch – packed lunch to include sandwich, crisps, fruit, flapjack or similar.

Dinner – Hot evening meal, meat and veggie options.

Groups can request any day of the week, weekends and Bank holidays.

• 5 Stars: We had an absolute blast camping and doing water sports here with an amazing team from Roadford. As a group of 70 they easily accommodated us and helped the camp go smoothly. Highly recommend!!!

Surrounded by countryside and nestled amongst the beautiful surroundings of the Wolf Valley with the dramatic tors of Dartmoor as its backdrop, Roadford is the perfect location for your next school trip

For those who are local to us or not looking for the full residential package, we accommodate day / multi-day activities for groups  of up to 80 participants.

We also offer RYA courses in sailing, windsurfing, wing surfing, wing foiling and powerboating – ratios for these activities vary, please get in touch for a personalised quotation.
