Roadford Lake Activity Centre is proud to be an RYA Recognised and AALA Licensed Activity Centre, with a team of fully qualified instructors ready to guide your group through an unforgettable day.

Whether you’re planning for a school trip, a youth group outing, or a team-building event, our experienced team specialises in creating customised experiences that cater to all abilities and goals.

From the initial planning stages to the moment your group departs, we’ll take care of every detail. Our friendly instructors ensure a safe and inclusive environment, where every participant feels supported and inspired. Teachers and leaders can rest easy knowing their group is in expert hands.

RYA and AALA

Instructor-led activities include kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, windsurfing, sailing, high ropes, archery and team challenges for groups of up to 80 per day.

We can provide RYA logbooks and certificates if booking an RYA sailing or windsurfing course. We can also provide teachers/leaders with information about RYA Onboard.

Our charity subsidises its prices for ‘uniformed’ groups, school, college and university groups:

-2 hour session – £190 per group of 8 participants. One activity.

-3 hour session – £270 per group of 8 participants. Can mix 2 activities.

-5 hour (full day) – £375 per group of 8 participants. Can mix 3 activities.

* Ratios for RYA Sailing and Windsurfing courses are 1:6. Detailed pricing available by request

Wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and wind proof jackets are provided. Participants will need to bring water shoes/wetsuit boots/old trainers, swimming costume, towel and sun cream.

All staff are first aid trained and we have a first aid point in the main office and in all safety boats.

Toilets, changing rooms, showers, café, campsite and ample free parking for customers. There are several undercover picnic benches and inside space can be provided in the event of bad weather.

We don’t have SEN qualified staff but we have an accessible toilet and shower room.

Groups can request any day of the week, weekends and Bank holidays.

5 Stars We had an absolute blast camping and doing water sports here with an amazing team from Roadford. As a group of 70 they easily accommodated us and helped the camp go smoothly. Highly recommend!!!

Years 3 and 4 have had a fantastic day out at Roadford Lake today. They participated in archery, kayaking and raft building They enjoyed making new friends, learning lots of new skills and working as a team
