What type of Educational Workshops do you cover including Key Stage, Topic or Curriculum
Our workshops are suited primarily to KS1 and KS2. However, our sessions are adaptable to suit older age groups and we often work with other educational establishments such as scouting and girl guide groups.
Our topics cover a variety of curriculum areas such as History, PHSE, Creativity & Art, Literacy, Geography of places and people and much more.
What makes us a great choice for educational groups
Our sessions are engaging, informative and offer learning through a variety of methods and learning styles.
We offer fast paced activities that immerse students fully in the topic with the use of costumes, props and resources.
Areas Visited
Our company HQ is based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire in the West Midlands and we have a team of enthusiastic actors who travel up and down the country delivering a wide range of exciting workshops! We currently do not visit schools which are located in rural Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland or the Isle of Man. Please note that schools located in Central London may face an added fee to cover Clean Air Charges and accommodation costs.
Accreditation and Awards
We have been awarded the Quality Badge by the Council of Learning Outside the Classroom and we are a proud Associate Member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

What is typically included on your school outreach workshop experiences
All our workshops are adaptable and we are very flexible with how we deliver our sessions depending on the needs of the school. A standard workshop includes 2 history practitioners to host the sessions, a mini-museum of era related artefacts and weapons, an interactive history timeline, topic related activities/games & coin striking. There are also opportunities to add on extra activities in some of our workshops and all students get to keep the coin they have helped make during the session.
Group Sizes
We can work with as many students as you would like us to, we liaise with you tailor the day to ensure that all students get time to participate in the workshop. We will discuss this with you in prep of whether this will be repeating workshops with smaller groups or a full school/ larger group assembly style.
Materials, Resources & Information
We bring everything required to run the sessions from props to costumes, artefacts and activity resources. Everything is delivered appropriately to the age range of those we are visiting. Our team have also linked our activities to the national curriculum, a document is available for each workshop on request.
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
Groups have permission to take photographs and/or film parts of the sessions in action. We would need to arrange prior permission should someone want to film the entire workshop.
All we ask is that any media created is used for in house purposes of the setting we have visited only and that activities, resources and performance based items are not replicated or copied for copyright reasons.
Pricing
Our workshops begin at £560+ VAT for a full day and £350+ VAT for a half day, mileage is charged for workshops outside of 25 miles radius of our offices in Shropshire. Where applicable accommodation for our team if we are visiting venues further away.
Some workshops may have add on options that are chargeable per head.
Clothing Requirements
School Uniform is fine. Dressing up in costume is always encouraged by us!
First Aid
Some members of our team are first aid trained, however, we would require a first aid trained person to be on site at all times during our visit when we visit other venues.
Testimonials
‘That Roman Workshop was better than Christmas Day’
‘You were amazing and the children loved having Vikings in their class. As soon as the school day was over, I went round saying how fantastic it was and how I felt it was much better than going on a visit’
“We really enjoyed your visit and the children thoroughly enjoyed it too, particularly the coin making, weapons and dressing up. The practitioners did a super job.”
” I just want to say a massive Thank You to your team. It has been a fantastic day and everyone has enjoyed themselves at the Viking Workshop. You were brilliant. I only wish we had longer to soak up all their knowledge! Thank You again and I will definitely be recommending your team/programme to other teachers.’
‘A huge thank you @ReachOutArtsUK for a very engaging and interactive workshop about the Great Fire of London! Year 2 really got into character to help re-tell the story’
“ReachOut Arts came into our school and delivered two workshops for our Key Stage 3 pupils for World Book Day. The children (and staff) loved the sessions! We were in consultation with ReachOut Arts prior to the event and they ensured that the sessions met the needs of our pupils (we are a special needs school) and were perfectly pitched and delivered. Thank you both for such a stimulating and worthwhile afternoon!”
Further Information
Due to the heavy nature of some of the equipment that we bring with us to schools – we do kindly ask that, if possible, we have a parking space that is accessible and near to the entrance to where we need to set up. We know that this is not always possible, but it is always greatly appreciated.
Location Details
Our workshops are available year round all over the UK – we are based in the West Midlands and our pricing will include travel costs and where appropriate accommodation costs for our team for venues further afield.
