What makes us a great choice for education
Whether you are bringing your class for a reward trip, focussed learning day or a mixture of the both, Paultons Park is the ideal venue. Paultons is home to over 70 rides, attractions and animals, set in 140 acres of beautiful gardens.
Enjoy a workshop in Professor Blast’s Learning Lab. This highly themed immersive classroom attraction? will capture student’s imagination and provide a stunning setting for a curriculum-based session. Our hugely popular ‘Rollercoaster Forces’ session looks closely at the forces making our rides fun and safe. Children even conduct an experiment using our K’Nex rollercoasters as they explore the physics of rides. Other workshops in the lab include ICT – Ride Control where students programme their very own K?NEX SkySwinger using a laptop and Flow Go control box.
Our themed animal attraction, Little Africa, will transport children to a distant area where they will come face to face with a range of interesting birds and animals. To compliment this, we have a host of new biology workshops – all including ‘close encounters’. Your class could come face to face with snakes, hedgehogs, rats and a range of invertebrates within their session.
For older students we run series of focussed presentations including customer service, marketing and ICT. All presentations are supported by student booklets and a CD containing resources.
Paultons Park Education Department is a LOTC Quality Badge Holder and is led by a qualified teacher. We will support schools through the planning and risk assessment process and are able to offer advice on all aspects of the trip. What is typically included on our school trips
Educational visits at Paultons Park can be tailored to meet the requirements of each school. Typically, park-led groups are met by our teaching staff at an allotted time and location. Most workshops are supported by stimulating worksheets which can either be completed during the workshop, or back in school as a follow up. Our workshops are run by experienced staff who are able to adapt their teaching style to suit the needs of learners. We run a fabulous mix of workshops, all based around the National Curriculum. Professor Blast’s Laboratory is a stunning venue for a session based on physics, animals or ICT. For older students, we run a range or presentations – great for business or tourism courses. These range from customer service, marketing to a general Paultons overview and case study of Peppa Pig World.
