What we offer on a school trip


Nuclear Highropes offers 6 fantastic tree top courses across 3 different levels reaching 20m high. There are 70 aerial treetop obstacles to conquer & all our sessions finish with the giant zipwire experience. For real adrenaline seekers there’s also a 50ft freefall big drop challenge. At night, the entire ropes course can be colour flood lit. Our courses are perfect for children ages 6 and above.
New to the Nuclear Highropes day out is our 4-lane axe and knife throwing range located under our woodland canopy with night-time sessions transformed into a world of colour with UV lights, glow paint and fire pits. Qualified instructors & target games make this a great day or night out. This activity for participants aged 13 and over.
Our 3-lane air rifle range experience offers shooting different guns including pistols and rifles.Giant tractor rides are available in summer across our beautiful farmland.

The Nuclear Highropes experience always puts customers first. Friendly, professional instructors are trained to the highest safety standards and we use the world’s highest safety system so no one can come unclipped until they are safely back on the ground.
Our venue is located in sheltered woodland protected from the elements making it a perfect all-weather activity. Spectators have full ground level course access & 180-degree balcony viewing & seated spectator viewing area.
The Highropes challenges change mindsets, overcome fears, build confidence & are fun making it an unforgettable experience for all ages & all abilities.

What is typically included on our school trips


We offer a 2-hour experience which includes a 30-minute safety briefing & 1.5 hours on the high ropes courses. Sessions are split into 30-minutes per level (there are 3 heights to conquer) finishing with the Big Zip.
Group Sizes Catered For


We can cater for any group size. Course capacity is 60 participants, but larger groups can be split across multiple activities for a fantastic day out.

Our venue is situated in the heart of Essex farmland at the famous Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker museum. Nuclear Highropes is part of award-winning Nuclear Races & Nuclear Wildforest Obstacle Centre.
In 2021 we opened our new air rifle range and added our brand-new Zip Wire experience.
