FOLLOW ASHLEIGH AND PUDSEY’S PATH TO STARDOM AT WICKSTEED’S GOT TALENT
Young performers under the age of 21 are being given the chance to follow in the paw-steps of the most famous dancing dog in the UK by entering this year’s Wicksteed’s Got Talent competition.
Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashleigh Butler and her adorable dog, Pudsey, from Northampton, first show the ability which wowed the nation when they finished third in the 2010 Wicksteed’s Got Talent final.
Wicksteed Park are once again hosting their annual summer talent show giving young performers under the age of 21 a chance to perform on the outdoor stage in front of live audiences.
Talent Show organiser, Natalie Cunningham, said: “We are now in our fifth year of running this competition and each year the standard just gets higher.
“We had a huge response last year and this year we have five heats with limited spaces so please book as soon as possible.
“We are looking for any type of act – dance troupes, singers, dog acts, comedians, musicians, magicians etc. Last year Lauren Jones, 11, won the competition after leaving us all breathless with her note perfect rendition of ‘On My Own’, from the West End show Les Miserables.”
The 5 heats will take place in August throughout the school holidays with the Grand Finale being held on Monday 27th August.
The winner will walk away with £200, with a 2nd and 3rd cash prize being awarded to the runners up too.
Natalie said: “We want to create a fantastic event for families and friends to enjoy and I’m sure this year we will be blown away once again by the standard of talent.”
The heats for the Talent Show will be held on the outdoor stage at Wicksteed Park on Saturdays and Sundays in August; 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th between 1-3pm. To register your act please contact Natalie or Marie on 01536 512475 or download an application form from http://www.wicksteedpark.co.uk
