School Trip West Midlands
School trips to the West Midlands have many things, to offer and for your educational group to experience did you know that the West Midlands is a Metropolitan County and City Region and consists of fantastic boroughs such as Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Solihull to name a few which offer a rich and diverse population and a bubbling mix of cultures from all over the world. I grew up in the West Midlands and have very fond memories as a boy especially of my favourite Park (Sutton Park) which is a site of special scientific interest and because of its size (2,400 acres) is one of the largest urban parks in Europe. Its surrounded by wondeful Counties with varied lanscapes and countrysie full of wildlife making it a meca for environmental studies and residential activity centres in Staffordshire, Warwickshire Herefordshire and worcestershire.
In between these everchanging urban centres are rural towns and villages offering a rich history, charming countryside and abundant historical heritage for the perfect school trip that provides fantastic rural experiences. The various metropolitan counties have provided a historical foot hold for the birth of many famous people such as Sir Frank Whittle 1907-96 (Co-inventor of the jet engine), William Pole 1814-1900 (Engineer), Ozzy Osbourne 1948 (Singer), George Fox founder of the Quakers, Henry Tonks 1862-1937 (Artist) and William Shakespeare there are many places of interest, historical buildings and venues that tell the history of science, music, biology, art, engineering, Industrial Revolution, manufacturing and more!.
