An Introduction to Safeguarding & Child Protection Training day to support working with communities
• Does your organisation regularly work with schools and families?
• Are your staff confident about recognising the signs of abuse, supporting young people and vulnerable adults and raising concerns?
• Do you want to assist your team in meeting current legislation andguidance around safeguarding?
Back by popular demand! This is a bespoke course developed by a specialist trainer from the NSPCC in collaboration with Severn Rivers Trust to help us meet the specific needs of our staff volunteers and participants. We have tailored content to make it relevant to the types of work that conservation and heritage charities typically carry out (e.g. working in schools, running site visits and attending shows and events). It will also be a chance for us to share experiences and ideas and continue building a network of support around community engagement and safeguarding across our organisations.
‘Very comprehensive course led by a knowledgeable and engaging facilitator’
‘A very difficult topic, but made it easy to follow’
We encourage you to send your communities staff in the first instance, but also consider inviting managers, key volunteers and Trustees who might benefit from this training. Training is hosted by Severn Rivers Trust and provided by the NSPCC.
