Dogs Trust Rehoming Centres - Free "Behind the Scenes" Visits - National

Dogs Trust Nationwide Visit as always "free of charge"

A visit to a Dogs Trust rehoming centre is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to see what happens ‘behind the scenes’ at the UK’s largest dog welfare charity. Our rehoming centre tours are conducted by our team of passionate and knowledgeable Education Officers who make the experience fun and interesting. During an educational tour at one our centres pupils will have the opportunity to explore our state-of-the-art facilities and see the dogs in our care, encouraging children to learn about caring for dogs, being a responsible dog owner and how to stay safe around dogs.
A typical visit* would cover the following:
•    our reception with a behind-the-scenes look at our rehoming procedures
•    our puppy block,
•    one of our real life rooms,
•    a ‘doggy training class’ in action,
•    our vets facilities / operating room – perhaps even the chance to see a procedure: vet check, microchipping, dental or an operation!
•    our grooming room – perhaps with one of our doggy residents!
•    And maybe even the chance to meet one of our long-term resident sponsor dogs.
