What we offer on a school trip
At the National Science and Media Museum, there’s plenty to see and do, to support and enrich learning, for schools, colleges, nurseries and other formal education groups.
Groups can visit our free Wonderlab gallery with our team of science communicators and join in on a 30 minute science show packed full of experiments you can’t do in class, providing students of all ages with fascinating insight and inspiring activities to really wow your class.
If you want to really dive into your chosen subject, we offer a wide range of workshops to suit your group, with the option of extra shows and demonstrations for you to enhance your visit.
If you really want to make your trip as memorable as possible, we have IMAX shows that align with the curriculum and theme that will excite and inspire your students and leave them with vivid memories of your amazing trip.
What makes us a great choice for educational groups
We explore the science and culture of image and sound technologies and their impact on our lives.
We aim to inspire the scientists and engineers of the future to see more, hear more, think more and do more.
Our galleries and exhibition spaces help us illuminate world-famous collections in photography, film, and television. Our team of Explainers create learning activities that fuel the imagination and get under the skin of our collections and exhibitions. And our three cinema screens—including an IMAX theatre—allow us to showcase the magic of moving images from around the world in Bradford, the first UNESCO City of Film.
With six floors of interactive galleries, and immersive learning experiences tailored to your needs, we have what you need to inspire your students, focus on your topic and leave a memorable impression for years to come.
Your visit can be tailor made to fit your groups needs through our Online Group Booking Portal.
