With animal encounters plus huge indoor and outdoor adventure play areas, we aim to deliver an experience that gives your pupils inspiration and information together with the opportunity to have fun and adventure along the way! A school trip at the Adventure Farm includes:
- An hour long Amazing Animals workshop tailored to EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Tractor ride for your group
- Access to all indoor and outdoor play plus animal areas
- Undercover base and area for lunch
- Free teacher places (ratio 1:5) plus pre-visit

What makes us a great choice for educational groups
We aim to deliver an experience that gives your pupils inspiration and information, together with the opportunity to have fun with a sprinkling of adventure along the way!
Ever wondered how many stomachs a cow has? Or how alpacas commutate? Find out all about the amazing animals at the Adventure Farm both in our animal barn and outside paddocks. Meet farm animals including cows, pigs, goats and sheep. See our hatchery and make your way through the Chicken Walk-Thru. Also, pet our guinea pigs and Shetland ponies.
Educational Values

- Understand the roles in which animals play in our lives and what they provide for us.

A school trip at the Adventure Farm includes:

Group Sizes
We cater for a minimum of 8 children.
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
Photography, filming and recording are permitted at the National Forest Adventure Farm, but only of your supervised children, and this is restricted by your school’s photography policy.
Risk assessment
Whole site and play equipment risk assessments are supplied pre-visit.
All children and adults are given a health and safety introduction when they arrive at the farm.

Term time weekday trips:
£9.00 per child*
Supervisory adults: 1 free per 5 paying children
1 to 1 SEN Support: Free adult carer
Additional adults £5.00
*excludes North Pole Adventure School Trips.

Clothing Requirements
Clothes suitable for the weather conditions plus footwear suitable for uneven, possibly muddy ground. Outdoor workshops go ahead regardless of the weather.

There are first aid trained employees on the farm at all times.

Toilets, plus baby changing facilities.
Disabled toilets, including special changing room with hoist and bed.
Large free car park.
Restaurant serving hot and cold food and drink.

An adapted tractor trailer for wheel chair users is available.
