What are your school workshops like?
Our inspiring and engaging workshops for Primary Schools will provide a day to remember, enthusing your group with a passion for history and a desire to learn!
Our costumed characters bring replica artifacts made from the real materials of the day for the children to explore. Children will “live in the past” for the day with drama, role play, crafting and lots of interactive games and activities.
Experience a workshop tailored to your school timetable and focus. We can provide whole-day overviews of the period, or focus on a specific area depending on how you are approaching the topic.
We cover Stone Age, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Anglo Saxons, Vikings, Medieval (Knights & Castles), Tudors, Pirates, Victorians, WW1 and WW2. We can also offer specific character workshops in some areas, e.g. Florence Nightingale, Queen Elizabeth 1, Tudor Alchemist.
If you don’t have enough time or resources for full day in-school workshop, then you could meet a “real” historical character on one of our livestreams instead. The children get a great interactive experience and all from the comfort of your whiteboard.

What makes us a great choice for educational groups?
Our workshops are hands-on, interactive and accessible for all children. We’ll tailor your timetable to your children’s age and ability and are experienced with working with children with additional physical needs, SEND, language barriers and SEBMH.
We’re fully insured to £10M PLI and all our visitors hold Enhanced DBS checked and are Safeguarding trained. They also carry photo ID cards for your peace of mind on the day.
We also arrange the admin side direct with your finance lead so you don’t have to worry about the paperwork.
DBS certificates
All our visitors hold Enhanced DBS certificates and are on the update service.
Group sizes
From one class to the whole school.
Generally we take between 30 – 90 in one day but we can arrange for smaller or larger groups. Depending on location, discounts may be available for very small groups e.g. homeschool/SEND groups of under 20.
Do you provide materials, resources and key stage or curriculum topic Information?
For online workshops we provide an activity page for use after the workshop. This is in development for our in-person workshops but not yet available.
Photography, filming & audio restrictions
Still photography is welcome but if you wish to video the day then this is available at additional cost.

Pricing
We do not charge per head, we charge in bands.
For a full day workshop, our prices start at £400 + VAT for one class/group of approx. 30, up to around £600 + VAT for a group of 90.
We can do larger and smaller groups with prices on request. We also offer a 10% discount for schools who book 3 or more workshops with us in one academic year!
We will include everything in the original quote so you will find no hidden costs with us! The only time we might have to ask for extra is if the school is within a ULEZ/Congestion/CAZ zone that we’re not aware of at the time of quoting, or if there are parking charges incurred where the school cannot provide a parking space.
Locations covered
Our visitors are generally every week day in termtime and can also visit holiday clubs, weekend and evening events, subject to availability.
Depending on the topic required, we cover the North West, East and West Midlands, East Anglia, London and the South East, South Central, South West as far as Dorset and Somerset, and East and South Wales.
We do not currently cover the following areas for in-school visits – Devon and Cornwall, North East, West Wales, Scotland – unless it is a very large group or special event.
However we can cover schools in any area with our Online Workshops – an interactive livestream with a historical character.
