What we offer on a school trip
Kingswood has been providing life changing adventures for young people for 40 years. Hundreds of thousands of children experience a Kingswood residential every year and day trips are also available, providing an excellent opportunity for children to develop their confidence, resilience and life skills.
With 11 centres scattered across the UK, each offers something slightly different, from stunning coastal scenes to grand private estates and historic woodlands. Whether you enjoy high-adrenaline excitement or crave the challenge of a long hike in an area of outstanding natural beauty, all locations have acres of green space, a passionate team to welcome you and the opportunity to make memories that will last a lifetime.

What is typically included on our school trips
What you get starts before your trip, with our pre/post visit toolkit which will help you with evidencing for Ofsted. On the day itself, you’ll have a base room exclusively for your group where you can leave bags, enjoy your packed lunch and have a debrief at the end of the day. You’ll be assigned a dedicated activity leader(s) who will stay with you the whole day to limit contact. All of our day visits include 4 varied activities, designed specifically to support our key learning outcomes of confidence, resilience and life skills.
Group Sizes
Kingswood generally work with group sizes of 12 to 15 participants but our centres can accommodate much larger groups.
Materials, Resources & Keystage Information
Kingswood, in partnership with Enrich Education, provide visitors with pre- and post-trip activity packs. These include a selection of activities that support PE, English, Maths, Science and Geography curricula, taken from the Enrich School Orienteering and Outdoor Learning Digital Hub. Each activity links with one of the six Kingswood curriculum categories (Challenge, Play, Explore, Discover, Social, Reflect). All activities include a teacher’s plan and children’s resource sheets where required.
