The fee includes admission to the entire zoo (and dinosaur world) for the whole day along with an activity book. You will also have access to all the daily talks and activities. The content of these talks are tailored to hit the points discussed with the teachers during the booking process. The timings and locations can be found on the Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur app.
Specific talks can be requested, we cannot promise we can fulfill the request but we will if it is possible.
Touted as one of the best dinosaur parks in the country, Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World is home to over 30 life size realistic animatronic dinosaurs. Set throughout a woodland walk, we have gone to great lengths to ensure the experience is both educational and fun. Taking children (and adults) through time from the Permian all the way to the Cretaceous periods in period-correct settings, it genuinely feels like an authentic prehistoric adventure you won’t find anywhere else.
We offer 2 paid for workshops, with a max of 30(approx) in each cohort group.
Exclusively for groups we offer Dinosaur Tours. These are roughly 30-minute guided tours with our Dino Ranger, who will tell the children all about the Dinosaurs in each area. They will also bring along fossils (both replica and genuine) for children to see up close and even touch.
£1 per child, or with the Fossil Workshop £4 per child.
Our second workshop is the Fossil Workshop. This is a 30-minute long workshop that includes an Introductory talk about fossils, dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures. During this talk we will cover the fossilisation process and the difference between body and trace fossils whilst also showing some of our own fossils. This is a tactile session where children can physically hold some of our fossils and touch others whilst being told about them and invited to ask questions.
Within the workshop, the students will have a chance to test their knowledge and keen eyes on a sorting session where children are encouraged to sort each fossil into trays indicating whether they are ‘trace’ or ‘body’ fossils.
All children get to take their very own REAL fossil home with them!
£3.50 per child or with Dinosaur Tour £4.00 per child.
Group Sizes
Up to 120 children.
