What we offer on a school trip
We are a purpose-built group outdoor adventure centre located across 100 acres of serene forest and lake surroundings on the edge of Burghley Estate and adjacent to England’s finest Elizabethan Stately Home, Burghley House.
We offer a glorious buffet menu of fun and challenging activities suitable for children as young as 6 and all the way up to adults, so parents and teachers can easily join in too.
Activities range from the physically-fun-packed assault course, laser tag and treetop challenges, to the problem solving and skills-testing underground escape rooms, team tasks and axe throwing, and not to forget our private lake for kayaks, paddleboards, raft-building and our epic fear-facing walk-the-plank water jump!
We are 1.5 hours north of London or 1 hour by train and located just outside the charming Georgian stone town of Stamford referred to as England’s Finest Stone Town, easily accessible from most places in the country, being less than a 5-minute-drive from the A1.
Our big claim to fame is that we are home to the incredible obstacles of the renowned Rat Race Dirty Weekend – which was the world’s largest assault course for 10 years between 2012 and 2022. We therefore have over 50 incredible obstacles on site that now comprise the Forest Facility Assault Course.
Alongside this, we have packed a huge range of other incredible action and adrenaline activities on-site, including Laser Tag, Axe Throwing, Kayaking, Raft-Building, Zip Wires, Treetop Challenges and our awesome Power Tower;’ add to this our totally unique underground Escape
Rooms plus many special events in the pipeline including bushcraft and foraging events, plus military-inspired challenges. All of our activities are 100% managed professionally and designed specifically with small to large group events in mind.
Our broad selection of activities give opportunities for visitors of all ages to challenge themselves physically and mentally, to work as a team, problem solving, learning new skills and improving their levels of confidence and self-belief.
Our facilities include toilets, changing rooms, and event hot showers, we offer complimentary hot and cold drinks and use of our Base Camp area for entertaining, dining, awards and presentations. When permitted, our team take photos during your activities, which we later provide a access to guests to download and share free of charge. We take the photos so you can focus on enjoying the activities.
