Celtic Harmony Camp offers a range of one and two night adventures into Prehistory.
The Prehistory Explorer (2 Days 1 Night)
This is a perfect first residential experience with a dedicated costumed educator to guide you throughout your stay as your pupils have the opportunity to learn about working together and acquire their independence. They will get involved in immersive Stone and Iron Age activities such as hunting, den-building and archery. There is also an exciting evening programme of Celtic crafts, storytelling, a bat walk and marshmallow roasting.
The Prehistory Adventure (3 days 2 nights)
Immerse your class in Prehistory and journey from Stone Age Hunter Gatherers to Bronze Age Farmers and Iron Age Warriors. Your pupils will work together as a team to explore the Ages, combining hands-on experience of life in ancient Britain with problem solving in their clans. This Prehistory Adventure includes all the activities from our Explorer trip plus Bronze Age Farmer activities such as quern stone grinding and weaving.
The Go Tribal Transition (3 days 2 nights)
A dynamic residential designed to develop pupils confidence and communication skills to cope with new situations, ideal for facilitating transition to secondary school.
Pupils will develop a range of woodland knowledge and work together on challenges, getting to know other students and building their own resilience as they solve problems and learn new primitive skills such as orienteering, fire cooking, water purification and wilderness first aid.
