What is typically included on our school trips

Whatever your chosen tour, we will tailor it to meet your own requirements. In addition to the key arrangements, visits, workshops and activities, we can also help you to build extra activities into your trip. These may include excursions to theme parks; museums; swimming pools; stadiums and places of cultural or educational interest. These can usually be pre-reserved on your behalf and paid for in advance as part of your package.

Tickets to sports matches, stage performances and other special events can also often be added to your package on request.

Trips can be arranged for the following curriculum subjects: Art and Design, Business Studies, Citizenship, Dance, Design and Technology, Drama, English, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Food and Nutrition, Foreign Languages, Geography, History, ICT, Leisure and Tourism, Mathematics, Media, Music, PE / Sport, Religious Education, Science, Textiles.

Risk Assessment Details

The safety and wellbeing of our clients is an absolute priority, and procedures are in place to make sure that we take every precaution to ensure best practice for the preparation, organisation and operation of your trip.

At Absolute Travel and Tours we are committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our clients and staff alike. Our Safety Management System, developed under the guidance of external consultants ensures that all reasonable measures are taken to assure our clients of a high level of safety and professionalism throughout a tour.

We encourage group leaders to report any safety related issues immediately. This will enable us to investigate any concerns and to ensure that any necessary action is taken straight away. To facilitate this, Absolute Travel will provide an Incident/Accident Report Form? to all Group Leaders prior to travel.

At Absolute Travel and Tours we offer inspection visits to your selected destination to provide you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the accommodation and surrounding area prior to your tour. It is an ideal opportunity to check the detail of your risk assessments. Absolute Travel and Tours provides two kinds of inspection visits:-

Group Inspection Visits Accompanied by Absolute Travel Staff

Absolute Travel and Tours organise group inspection visits to certain destinations that we offer. Visits will include the accommodation and facilities we use, possible sample excursions and an opportunity to discuss any aspects of your tour with Absolute Travel staff and local suppliers or agents.

Individual Inspection Visits

For tour destinations not covered by group inspection visits, we offer group leaders an opportunity to visit their selected destination. We will pay for 2 nights bed and breakfast accommodation for the Group Leader or as pre-agreed. Please contact us for further details.

During Your Inspection Visit

Familiarise yourself with the accommodation and the areas you plan to visit and consider what problems may arise with both individuals and the group as a whole in mind.

Confirm that your control measures will work and be effective.

Select appropriate group meeting points for different activities where required.

Identify potential trouble spots and record any out of bounds? areas.

Note useful telephone numbers such as emergency services etc.

Visit the nearest tourist office.

Take a colleague - two heads are better than one.

Pricing Information

Prices vary from around £30 per person for a UK day trip including coach transportation to £1,500 per person for trips further afield such as South Africa or Barbados.

Most European coach tours range from £250-£500 depending on duration and numbers travelling.

We offer the following free place ratios for our sports and educational trips:

1 free staff place for every 8 paying students on coach trips

1 free staff place for every 10 paying students on flight trips

We offer the following free place ratios for our ski trips:

1 free staff place for every 7 paying students on coach trips

1 free staff place for every 10 paying students on flight trips
