What we offer on a school trip
We are always adding to our activities offered, to name a few are:
Campcraft – where pupils learn lots of survival tips and how to make a fire and a shelter from nature.
Obstacle course – pupils can work in teams or individually to make it around our challenging triple layered obstacle course.
Nightline – pupils are given black out goggles, so they are operating purely on trust to work together to make it through and around the obstacles of our nightline.
Mountain walk – for the ultimate challenge in summer pupils are pushed to their limit to walk to the top of the Mountain and are rewarded with lunch and the most spectacular view from England to the Brecon Beacons.
Archery – pupils over 8 years old can learn the skill of archery and work together in teams afterwards with a few archery games.
Puzzle Solving – gives your mind a workout instead of your muscles, where pupils can work out problems together in teams.
We also have 2 goats and chickens, turkeys and wallabies coming soon that children can help feed and learn about. More activities are available for residentials (please see our separate listing for residentials for more information).
We ask that children where sensible clothing and shoes, but for the muddy and for bad weather we can provide everyone with either thick waterproofs, overalls and boots.
We also offer the John Muir award for schools, which can be held over 1 – 2 days for children to learn about their environment and nature as they work together as a team to help restore or make a new bug hotel or plant new plants in the pond.
Or you may just want to use our class room facilities to hold your own forest school here.
We have a stunning dining area with lunch available onsite if needed, or pupils on day trips can bring their own lunches. If you’d like to stay longer, we can provide breakfast, lunch and dinner and separate boys and girls dorms for residentials (see our residential listing for more details).
