What we offer

Woburn Safari Park is an exciting and educational day for children of all ages, with over 1000 wild animals in over 300 acres of beautiful parkland; you?ll get an unparalleled close encounters with some of the world's most magnificent and endangered animals.

There are educational sessions available for all key stages for Primary, Secondary and Post 16. Educational sessions include guided tours and classroom sessions, and the learning continues on foot in the Foot Safari and Leisure Area where they will find sea lions, elephants, wallabies, squirrel monkeys, penguins, lemurs and more.

A full programme of demonstrations, talks and feeding times allows kids to meet the animals and the keepers that care for them. Admission prices include a 30 minute teaching session in the new Visitor Enrichment Centre.

Journey through our exciting drive-through safari which is home to wild animals such as African lions, white rhinos, Siberian tigers, Rothschild's giraffe and many more

Book a dedicated tour guide to accompany you on your bus and coach, to learn all about the fascinating animals (a small extra charge applies)

Adventure through the fantastic Foot Safari and meet more wildlife, including: penguins, red river hogs, sheep and goats, lynx and Aldabran tortoises

Choose your free 30 minute teaching session in the Visitor Enrichment Centre; included in your entry price. You can select from a range of curriculum-linked topics to suit all key stages.

The Visitor Enrichment Centre utilises 3D technology, visual images, live animals and active learning to give children a truly immersive experience. Sessions are designed to be fun, interactive and curriculum-focused. Many sessions include opportunities for hands-on experience with live animals and animal artefacts (max 30 children per session).

Enjoy interactive walkthroughs including Land of the Lemurs?, Monkey Business?, Australian Walkabout? and feed the birds in Rainbow Landing?

Watch and learn with a full programme of talks and demonstrations, including a birds of prey show, birds in action show, penguin feeding time, sea lion demonstration and an elephant meet and greet!

For fair weather or foul, there is a great choice of indoor and outdoor play areas our indoor mammoth play ark and swan boats. 

Group Sizes Catered For

There is no upper limit for school groups and we welcome school groups of all sizes. The Visitor Enrichment Centre can cater for groups of a maximum of 30, with many bookings available for sessions throughout the day.

Materials, Resources & Information Provided

Book an educator to help you make the most of your drive around the safari reserves. Discover fascinating facts about all the animals in the reserves, and the problems facing their relatives in the wild.

Tours are designed to be interactive and informative as well as fun, and are tailored towards the ages of the group. Educator-led tours last up to 1? hours. Please ensure that the coach(es) that you book have microphone/s available.

Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions

We are happy for our visitors to record their visit with photos, video and audio.

Risk Assessment Details

A comprehensive information pack is sent via post to confirm each booking, this includes risk assessment guidelines. A teacher pre-visit voucher is available free of charge, in order that one teacher per school booking can visit the Park in advance to carry out their risk assessments and plan their day.

Pricing Information

£7.95 per child aged 3-15 inclusive

£8.95 per student on post 16 course

One adult is admitted free with every 5 children (primary schools) or every ten children (secondary schools).

Clothing Requirements

Sensible footwear and appropriate clothing for weather conditions is required..

First Aid Information

Qualified first-aiders are situated in all areas. Please ask your nearest member of staff, who can request a first aider to assist you.

Opening Hours & Information

We are open from 10am to last entry at 5pm, closing at 6pm between the 25th March and 27th October 2012.

Winter opening hours are from 9.30am to last entry at 3pm, closing at 4pm from 25th October to 2nd November. From 3rd November, we are open Thurs to Sun only from 10am to 3pm, closing at 4pm.
