What we offer

The Ashton Memorial, the Butterfly House, mini beast cave and zoo is an ideal venue for pupils of all ages and offers a variety of activities linked to the National Curriculum. Trained staff are on hand to answer questions and provide an exciting and stimulating experience.

54 acres of beautiful parkland with enchanting woodland walks and play areas and breathtaking views to the Fylde Coast, Morecambe Bay and the Lake District. The park features the iconic and imposing Ashton Memorial, Pavilion Café and Gift Shop, Edwardian Butterfly House, Mini-Beast Cave, Small Animal Zoo and even Meerkats! Entry to the park grounds and historic Grade I listed Ashton Memorial is free.

No but we advise calling the park and asking to speak to either the Gift Shop supervisor or one of the Zoo Keepers.

Pricing Information

See above for details. Costs range from £3.80 per pupil to £5.50 per pupil. 
Children aged 5 and under: 1 free adult per 4 children
Children aged 6 and over: 1 free adult per 6 children
Additional adults priced at zoo admission of £3.90 per person

Clothing Requirements

Suitable outdoor clothing. Option 3 will be outdoors whatever the weather so clothing for inclement weather is necessary.

First Aid Information

Staff are first aid trained but we advise a first aider accompanies the group as well.

Picnic areas in the park. Café, gift shop, toilets, parking, disabled facilities.

Accessibility & Disabled Facilities

Disabled toilets and lift access. Some paths are steep due to the undulating nature of the park but most are suitable for wheelchair access. All of the park’s amenities are accessible.

Opening Hours & Information

Williamson Park and all its amenities are open all year except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
• October to March: 10am to 4pm
• April to September: 10am to 5pm
