What we offer on a school trip
Every year we help around 6,000 people to learn about their local environment through outdoor learning sessions. The school and community groups that take advantage of Milton Keynes’ fantastic outdoor classrooms are amongst the parks’ most enthusiastic visitors.
The Parks Trust Outdoor Learning Team provides a wide range of fun activities, games and guided walks to inspire you and your class. Whether you are looking for a curriculum-based activity, a session to help you achieve healthy school status, or simply want a fun environmentally-linked session outdoors, we are sure you will enjoy your experience.
The Parks Trust run these sessions from its two education centres at Howe Park Wood and Linford Lakes Nature Reserve as well as sessions held within your school’s local Parks Trust land (if located in Milton Keynes).
Sessions can cater for EYFS, Key Stages 1-4, after school groups and further education as required. A wide range of activities are included, such as Dens & Dandelions and Bugs & Minibeasts for KS1 and KS2, and Survival Skills and Woodland Management for KS3 and KS4.
