What we offer

The Morgan Motor Company …Celebrating over 100 years of a driving passion! Visit the only car maker in the world to have survived for over a century under the ownership of its founding family and marvel at the skilled craftsmanship still apparent today! Our experienced tour guides take visitors into all workshops to see the hand making of a Morgan sports car from very start to finish! This is a tour like no other, totally fascinating and fantastic value for money…….. with over 30,000 worldwide visitors last year! The guided factory tour lasts approximately 2 hours and will end in the Morgan museum where we suggest allowing a further 20-30 minutes or so. An audio system is used throughout the tour to enable visitors to hear the tour guide clearly in noisy areas, each student will be provided with an earpiece. The tour guide will tailor the tour to suit your group, their age and particular areas of interest / study. The tour is excellent for school / student visits being extremely visual and engaging. Students will see a Morgan being hand built using traditional skills, but they will also experience the modern technology and hi-tech equipment used to create a Morgan. Morgan operate an apprentice scheme, recruiting 10-12 apprentices each year. Work experience is also available with a long waiting list! The Morgan Motor Company is conveniently located just 8 miles from J7 or J8 of the M5 Motorway.

What makes us a great choice?

The Morgan factory is totally unique. Visitors are able to experience the hand making of a Morgan watching the craftsmen and women at work without any restrictions, no barriers etc. For students, our tour demonstrates the need for highly skilled craftsmen and women in a technological world. Students will also be able to see a workforce of all ages. Photography is fully permitted throughout the tour.

I had never done the Morgan Motor Company tour with students before and was a little apprehensive before taking my 21 French students (in their 4th year of learning English at school in Normandy) to the tour. But thanks to the staff and especially Mike, our really friendly guide, they all had a great experience! The tour is excellent with lots of really interesting to facts to find out about the history of this great institution. The guide allowed us to translate the "tricky" stuff into French for our students (this is not always the case during guided tours, believe me!) and the pupils had lots of questions and wanted to interact with our guide. He was so generous with us all that Ornella, who was celebrating her 16th birthday, got to sit in some of the models on display! The workshops are noisy places to visit but gave our students the opportunity to really understand what the working conditions are in a factory of this sort today. A really good educational visit all round - and lots of fun, thanks to our guide. Thank you very much Morgan Motor Company. John our guide for the day is a mind of information and answers all questions directed to him in a professional manner. The Tour itself covers all aspects of the build process including a display of previous models, Chassis build/engine/box install, frame manufacture and fit, panel fit, trim area, PDI area and despatch. The whole place is a hive of activity and you can actually chat with the people who are building the cars right in front of you. You don't have to be a car person as it is so informative as to these vehicles are hand built and have been for over 100 years.......it is a case of old methods meet new technology. It takes around 2 1/2 hours and you can take as many pictures and video as you like !!!!!
