What makes us a great choice?

Group visits can be tailored to meet the needs of each group.

The Mill does not run “Field Study Courses”. It offers accommodation and choices for each group.

  1. Formal Study - Schools bring students to the Mill to study geography, biology, travel & tourism, art, and photography. They also bring groups to do revision and quiet study. These are organized by the teachers themselves.
  2. Organised Adventure Activities - Schools and groups come to the Mill to take part in “Team Building” exercises, to build survival shelters in the woods, to traverse low ropes courses, to learn new skills in mountain biking, kayaking, sailing, climbing etc.
  3. Informal  - Groups come to stay and organize their own activities, to take part in local sporting events, to run drama groups, to relax and enjoy the countryside, to offer children support and new experiences.

Group Sizes Catered For

The Mill building can accommodate up to 40.

For larger groups, there is space and facilities for organised camping groups to hire the grounds and have the use of the Mill facilities.
