Meet Burke and Hare - they've been keeping the population of Edinburgh down since 1832. And - new for 2017 - get witch or die tryin' on the Witch Hunt for the electrifying Agnes Finnie. Accuse or be accused - get in first! With 11 live action shows and 2 underground rides, it's so much fun it's scary.
Your 80 minute journey will take you through 1000 years of Scotland's dark history. Guided by a full cast of actors, you and your companions walk through The Dungeon, moving from show to show. Shows are based on real Scottish history (minus the boring bits). You'll get up close and personal with local legends including William Wallace and murderers, Burke and Hare.

With stunning special effects, authentic sets, witty comedy, two heart-stopping rides and a host of scary surprises lurking in the Dungeon, it's a unique and fun introduction to a range of classroom subjects including History and Performing Arts. Immersed in history; hear the tales, see the sights and smell the smells of some of Scotland's most notorious characters.

Due to the intense nature of Drop Dead - Drop Ride to Doom guests who are unable to brace themselves unaided are not permitted to ride.
Navigating around the Dungeon will be mainly via level pathways. However due to the nature of the attraction some floor surfaces are uneven. For safety reasons we can only accept 1 wheelchair user at any one time. Tour groups depart around every 10 minutes. We would advise booking your visit in advance as wheelchair users without an advanced booking may need to wait some time to start the tour.
