What we offer

Step into the year 2050 at the Crystal and explore our urban future! What challenges will our cities face, and how can we combat these issues with green technology?

Learn about urban sustainability at one of the world's greenest buildings, and have fun in our interactive exhibition - with games, touch screens and immersive videos, there's something for every learner!

How will the challenges of demographic change, urbanization and climate change shape our cities? Explore water recycling, smart buildings, renewable energy, transport solutions and more!

We offer tailored guided tours of the exhibition, behind the scenes looks at the building, and a variety of thought provoking workshops.

What makes us a great choice?

Give your students the opportunity to see sustainability in action at one of the world's greenest buildings! The Crystal uses solar panels, a ground source heat pump, rainwater harvesting and an efficient glass design to conserve energy.

Put your knowledge into practice with one of our fun interactive games! Create your own sustainable building, ride a bicycle to power up a variety of appliances, walk over our kinetic squares to harness energy, and calculate your water footprint!

Group Sizes Catered For

We can accommodate up to 60 students at one time.

The pupils absolutely loved the exhibition; they were a bit grumpy when we had to leave! The guides were fantastic and the pupils enjoyed working with them. Also, so many elements of their GCSE Geography course were covered at some point, so this will only benefit the pupils when they sit their exams.

Our lecturer and her group thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the Crystal. She thought that the tour and the exhibition were both brilliant. I look forward to sending other groups in the future!

Our students thoroughly enjoyed the session and learning just how eco friendly the building is. Definitely the way forward. We would LOVE to visit next year at a similar time...
