What we offer

With a large volunteer membership and a small team of professional staff, our theatre is fully equipped with a 300+ seat main house, 100+ seat studio theatre and spacious coffee bar/bar area as well as all the facilities of any working theatre, such as wardrobe and properties departments, rehearsal rooms and a large scenic workshop.

Situated to the west of Brindleyplace (off Broad Street), The Crescent's central location means that we are easily accessible by coach, car and public transport. With a diverse and varied programme of events, our scheduling takes into consideration the requirements of schools and educational organisations.

The Crescent is known for presenting high quality productions of all genres in a wide range of styles. Our flexible venue offers great amenities including a pleasant coffee bar area and full disabled access and facilities. We are pleased to welcome parties of all sizes, as we have no minimum group size.

We welcome visits from school parties - enthusiastic schools audiences contribute to the vibrant atmosphere at the Crescent and we are committed to providing engaging and affordable theatrical experiences for young people. As well as affordable ticket prices (£5-8) for educational groups, we can offer pre and post show talks, workshops and tours. We can also come to your school or college to run workshops alongside a visit to the theatre. We have a dedicated Education and Engagement Officer who can liaise with your staff to create a memorable experience for your students.

What makes us a great choice?

Both our main stage and studio space are fully accessible, and due to the layout and size of both spaces, there is no such thing as a bad seat?; your students will see all of the action, all of the time. Our education ticket price is just £5 Tues-Thurs and £8 Fri-Sat. This means that our productions are significantly more affordable than any other theatre in Birmingham.
