What we offer
We are part of St Davids Cathedral's programme of educational outreach to children and young people.
This allows for schools and community groups to engage with the various facets of the Cathedral's life in conjunction with areas of the National Curriculum. Themed seasons and days use the skills of inspirational artists, educational practitioners and the local community to help visitors engage with Christian, historical and Welsh heritage.
These include Experience Easter and Harvest Festival. There are programmes on offer such as Megastructures and Maths as well as History Alive! We are always able to adapt programmes to be able to focus on anything particular for your group and also can come into schools for a pre or post visit session.
Ty'r Pererin offers space and opportunity for many to reflect on their pilgrimage through life and we have many packages with a pilgrimage focus including a pilgrimage transition day for Year 6 pupils. There are many ways in which visitors, adults, children and pilgrims can engage with the concept of pilgrimage and we have also hosted INSET days for school staff, as well as staff meetings.
We have links within St Davids to be able to offer other experiences and this is a unique place for children to have a high quality day of learning outside the classroom.
Group Sizes Catered For
We welcome groups of any size and have had a group of up to 250 pupils. Large groups need to ensure they book well in advance.
