What we offer
This experience is offered at a concessionary rate for school students wanting to come during term time. Food or a picnic area can be provided.
A minimum of 10 students must attend for a school booking and supervision ratios
will be different to the standard.
What makes us a great choice?
Teamwork and leadership skills, balance and coordination skills, trust exercises and self-confidence are just some of the areas your students will benefit from and develop.
We also offer packages with our sister company- Sandown Sports (we are located in the same place). They have a dry ski slope so you can book to do both acitivities, as well as Ringos, sledging and water wars. See Sandown Sorts website for more details on this http://sandownsports.co.uk/ski/ If you choose to ski, ringos or water wars, as well as Skywalk, these packages can be tailor made for you
Accreditation and Awards
We are ERCA approved.
What is typically included?
Once arriving, and putting your belongings safely into a locker, each group will receive a full safety briefing from one of our fully qualified instructors. Each participant will get given a harness, and we will ensure this is put on properly. The harness will then be attached to our roller safety system, and the rules of the course will be explained. Once each individual has been checked by an instructor, they will be able to commence the course. We have two courses, so for bigger groups, we may split the participants onto different courses, and then swap over (if you have signed up to do both courses).
We do tailor each visit specifically to the needs of the group as well- if you are booking a package with ski, ringos, or water wars, then this will obviously be incorporated in the visit. You choose what you want us to include and we deliver!
We do have a fully licensed bar and café, so teachers can grab a hot drink whilst they wait. There are also several viewing platforms to see what the children are up to, and to take photos.
Group Sizes Catered For
A minimum of 10 students must attend a school booking for the concessionary rate to apply. We can have up to 16 participants per course at a time, so 32 participants can be across both courses. For bookings bigger than this, we would recommend booking a package with one or more of our other activities- we can then split the groups between activities, and swap them over.
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
Yes we are, however phones cannot be taken on the course. There are multiple viewing platforms which photos can be taken from.
Risk Assessment Details
We do provide a pre-done risk assessment for teachers, however we are happy to arrange for teachers to come and visit and conduct their own risk assessment. Just contact us to arrange this!
Education Officer Information
For any enquiries please contact email@example.com
Costs do vary, depending on which activities you have booked. Call our booking team on 01372 701107 to discuss pricing and options.
We recommend that you wear long sleeve clothing that is easy to move about in, and you will need to wear trainers. No loose items can be taken on the course, and neither can anything that would prevent securing a harness.
First Aid Information
We have a qualified first aider on site.
Café and Bar area with drinks and a limited selection of food. There are also picnic areas with shelter should you wish to bring your own packed lunches. We can provide packed lunches or pizza at request, but this must be booked in advance.
Opening Hours & Information
This can vary depending on the time of year! It’s best to call to discuss and we can try to accommodate your needs.
We have had many visits from schools, including Parkside, Surbiton, and Claremont, and have had very positive responses and feedback from both the teachers and the kids!
Start the course by climbing up the cargo net onto the first platform and proceed to the Indiana log crossing.
Once onto the next platform you’re now suspended over the slopes where you shift over the star crossing and swinging logs. From here, you’ll zip across to the next part of the course where you will ascent into the trees even higher for some incredible views.
Across the angled indie bridge to the hanging vines where some serious tightrope stepping will come in handy! Zip across again to the next burma bridge (take in the spectacular views from here!) over the island crossing and finally the rickety bridge to arrive back on home soil.
Up and into the air across the crates to tackle the island crossing and wobbly stepping stones!
Zip line across to the back of the course watching the skiers underneath you! Maneover through suspended skipping ropes and through the net burma bridge to then test your best army crawl through the barrel roll.
Make like spidey across the web and onto the second burma bridge to zip it again and start your descent back down to solid ground, but not before the final rickety bridge challenge!
