What we offer

Our 25 foot orange rafts are the largest in the UK and are both comfortable and stable. Suitable for all ages they give you the experience of enjoying the river and wildlife up close. Our trips cover 2 kilometres with a round trip time of 90 minutes (including free shuttle bus return to our starting point if required).

Our trained guides do all the work, whilst rowing you down the river, providing you with a historic commentary about the rich history of Ironbridge and the river network which was used for the transport and trade of many exotic and domestic products.

Learn about the construction of the famous Iron Bridge as you float underneath it, experiencing it from an angle only accessible on the river.

There's also time for fun on the way, hearing tales from our guides about their time spent working on rivers all over the world. If you want to experience rowing our rafts, we're happy to get everyone up to have a go.

What makes us a great choice?

Shropshire Raft Tours are the only boat company in Ironbridge providing historic commentary where students can learn about the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and the importance of the river network.

Float underneath the world famous Iron Bridge whilst keeping an eye out for the river wildlife along the way, including swans, otters and even kingfishers

Safety is a top priority at Shropshire Raft Tours and our guides have extensive experience working with children and adults of all ages and will make a trip both informative and fun.

What is typically included?

After a safety briefing we set off on the water. Our trips are both informative and fun, with a chance for children and adults to have a go at rowing the rafts along the way.
