What we offer on a school trip
Set in a truly historic country house (built by Sir John Soane - the world famous architect - in 1873) with large and grand rooms, Letton Hall offers safe and secure accommodation for school groups in two venues; the Main Hall and Dolphin Court (the old stable block). Both venues are well equipped for residential stays and have plenty of space for educational activities, both indoors and out.
The building offers excellent facilities for all of your group's needs, whether meeting, eating and sleeping or simply relaxing together and having fun. Sleeping accommodation is in a variety of rooms, ranging from double or twin rooms to multi bed dormitories.
Our duty managers, who live on site, are present throughout the duration of a residential stay.
On site, we can offer some educational and group activities, including team building and problem solving around the house and grounds; picture orienteering; den building and making camp fires.
We can offer the History Tour that introduces Letton Hall as an historic house in an entertaining way and can arrange educational visits to the original freshwater spring, just a short walk away. The Spring once provided all of Letton Hall's water and is complete with the remains of four different pumping methods, it provides a remarkable insight into the history and social life of the original residents of the hall and how the industrial revolution changed our lives.
In association with our outside providers we can offer archery, airguns, circus skills and dance workshops.
