Located in the heart of New Lanark World Heritage Site 'Wee Row' provides a unique hostel experience nestled in the spectacular South Lanarkshire Valley in Southern Scotland. Popular with individuals, families, school parties and groups there is a wide selection of things to do on our doorstep. With a choice of room types all with ensuites, we offer good quality budget accommodation within an historic building. There is also a well equipped self catering kitchen for guests to make use of including a comfortable dining area.
Only one hour drive from Glasgow and Edinburgh, Wee Row Hostel is the perfect base to explore these popular cities but you don't have to go far to find plenty to do. On our doorstep is the award winning New Lanark Visitor Centre where you can step back in time and rediscover life of this working Mill village. Explore the industrial heritage, pick up a gift in the Mill Shop, have lunch in the Mill Cafe, play in the park or simply take a seat by the waterwheel and soak up the history of this magnificent 18th century cotton mill village. There's so many things for everyone to do.
New Lanark is also a perfect stop over for those cycling Lands End to John O' Groats and the village marks the end of the popular Clyde Walkway which runs from Glasgow city centre to the heart of New Lanark. A must see are the Famous Falls of Clyde with its multitude of waterfalls surrounded by natural woodland. Take a walk up the board walk to the falls and you're sure to spot an abundance of wildlife including badgers, squirrels and peregrine falcons. New Lanark makes for a pefect getaway suitable for all ages, interests and budgets.
'Exclusive use of Wee Row - In Season or Out of Season'
If you have a family celebration or social gathering coming up, a reunion with friends, a club AGM, an international event or special interest group, you can use our 'Exclusively Yours' scheme for a private hire service and get sole, use of Wee Row. Set in stunning scenery Wee Row can be yours for a brief period of time. This is your chance to wake up in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sleeping from 15 up to 62 people, RentaHostel for private hire offers great value for money.
On arrival, the lead member of your group will be welcomed by a member of our staff and they will familiarise you with the facilities. Wee Row has a fully-equipped self-catering kitchen and catering is available on request. Heating, lighting and bed linen are included as part of the hire charge and towels can be added if required.
Prices for our 'Exclusively Yours' scheme range from £480 per night - £ 590 per night out of season and from £795 per night - £1195 per night in season. A minimum 2 night stay is required at Wee Row. Check in time is from 3pm and check out time 11am.

Wee Row Hostel offers quality and affordable accommodation with a friendly welcome to groups of all sizes. Our hostel provides more than just a bed; it offers a unique experience in the heart of a world heritage site and gives the chance to meet like-minded people with similar interests. It is overseen by staff who are friendly and who are fully knowledgeable on the local area. We have played host to many groups and organisations and look forward to providing assistance with your enquiry.
Your hostel is well-equipped and graded by VisitScotland so you can be assured of the regulated standards here and we offer a range of multi-bedded rooms as well as private rooms which can be made use of by group leaders, teachers or drivers.
Wee Row provides comfortable affordable accommodation from only £18.50 per person for a private room with ensuite facilities. Feel the stresses melt away as you fall asleep to the sound of the passing river.

There are so many things to see and do on our doorstep and the first place to find plenty of activity is at the New Lanark Visitor Centre. Have a look at its 'What's on Guide for 2015' which lists the events taking place throughout the year.
The fun four-star Scottish Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre at New Lanark allows people of all ages to learn more about the Falls of Clyde waterfalls, woodlands and the animals that live there. Highlights include the Peregrine Experience - watch live footage of nesting peregrines.
There are interactive toys and games including badger facts and wildlife crafts. Take a beautiful riverside walk straight from the centre to the reserve. Regular badger and bat walks throughout the year. Learn all about the history of Falls of Clyde on the Victorian Grand Tour
The Falls of Clyde Walk. this spectacular 7 miles walk allows you to follow the river as it surges through a narrow gorge and over three spectacular waterfalls. Walking through the Falls of Clyde nature reserve, where birdsong competes with the roar of the waterfalls, keep a look out for kingfishers, otters and badgers.In spring the highlight of the walk is watching the resident peregrine falcons raise their fledglings.
The Nearby Tinto Hill is a graceful cone shaped hill on Lanarkshire's southern horizon. At 707 metres it is the highest point in central Scotland and the perfect introduction to hill walking.The best reason for climbing Tinto hill is the excellent view. On the clearest days the view takes in the Lake District, the mountains of Mourne in Northern Ireland, Ailsa Craig and Arran in the Firth of Clyde, the Arrochar Alps and as far north as Lochnagar in the Cairngorms.
Strathclyde Country Park is one of the most popular family attractions in the central belt of Scotland and is only 20 minutes by car. The park hosts lots of different clubs and events from nature walks with countryside rangers to model aircraft flying clubs, so there is something for everyone
Tinto Trout Fisheries nestles on the north-western side of the dramatic Tinto hills (great for fun family day out walking) within South Lanarkshire and is set in open moorland offering peace and tranquillity. The fishery comprises two reservoir lochs (Lyoch and Cleugh) each approximately 5 acres in size containing both rainbow and wild brown trout. Regularly restocked this fishery also has several cottages that are available for rent to allow you maximum fishing time on your holiday

Wee Row is open from the beginning of March until the end of November. Our 'Exclusively Yours' scheme is available throughout the year.

Wee Row is a small intimate hostel with 18 rooms all of which have river views. There are a selection of room types offering flexible accommodation over two floors. With a choice of twin, double, triple and quad rooms all have ensuite facilities and linen is provided on all beds for arrival. There is also a studio apartment which has its own kitchen.
