What we offer

The Manor House is an exceptionally high quality residential Outdoor Centre based in North Cornwall. We offer superior accommodation in our 18th Century Manor House and exceptional outdoor activities at natural venues across Cornwall; for example, no artificial climbing walls here, our groups climb on sea cliffs in a secluded cove where we often see pods of dolphins or seals! Our equipment and minibuses are regularly updated to ensure quality and safety of our guests. Our instructors are all aged 21 years or over and hold the minibus driving licence. We have a particularly warm and inviting Farmhouse kitchen where guests often mingle whilst helping themselves to readily available free hot drinks. The Manor House also offers a luxurious Spa Pool for the sole use of our adult guests, which is surrounded by low level lighting on the decking! Delicious Home Cooked meals are provided each day which cater for all special dietary requirements. Two course dinners are offered with ample amounts for second helpings, as appetites are often improved following a day in the outdoors! Continental breakfasts are provided with tonnes of cereal and toast along with orange juice, tea and coffee. Picnic lunches are supplied each day which again cater for special dietary needs and to ensure that the lunches are just what you fancy - loads of sandwich fillings are provided for you to select your own individual sandwiches each day from the lunch buffet. Cold drinks are also available throughout the day along with a selection of fresh fruit. Hot drinks are also provided free of charge at The Manor House throughout your stay.

What makes us a great choice?

One of the main reasons our clients return year after year is the quality of our accommodation and activity sessions and the fact that we allow them to have sole occupancy of the Manor House. They enjoy our personalised care; Lesley is always available at the end of the phone or by email to answer any questions. We are a family run centre with a small, but highly professional team of qualified Instructors. Our instructors are all aged 21 years or over and hold the minibus driving licence. The Manor House offers Activity Courses which offer full on adventure, from Climbing on Cornish sea cliffs to surfing some of the best beaches in Cornwall. Paddling in kayaks, sit-on-tops, or canadian canoes offer challenging experiences for young and old alike; team that with our massive BIG iSUPs for an amazing team building day! Did you know we were the first Outdoor Centre in the UK to introduce BIG iSUPs? These are inflatable Stand Up Paddleboards which allow up to 10 children to learn to paddle together thus enhancing team work and communication skills . . . and also great fun! You could also cycle the Camel Trail and explore the delights Padstow has to offer. See our list of activities below to choose your favourites! Field Study trips could include visits to the Eden Project for self-led visits or the exceptional Workshops provided by Eden’s own educational team to provide a truly exciting day for students. The Manor House also works closely with the Blue Reef Aquarium so visits to the aquarium could be arranged out of hours providing a truly special experience for students and teachers alike.  Marine biologists are also available to support teachers wishing to run beach studies and the Manor House team are available for safety cover.  Cornish Tin Mines, Tintagel Castle, Dame Barbara Hepworth Museum and Tate Gallery are also popular with our residential field study school groups.
