What we offer

The London Waterbus Company operates a fleet of traditional narrow boats on the Regent's Canal in north London. Opened in 1820 for cargo carrying, the waterway forms a green and peaceful route through Regent's Park, London Zoo and the Maida Hill Tunnel under Edgware Road, to the elegant architecture of Little Venice and the lively bustle of Camden Lock Market.

The industrial history and architecture of the canal can be seen along the way in structures such as the ornate wrought and cast iron bridges, the horse ramps and the marks left by the ropes of the cargo boats. The passengers get the opportunity to experience travel on a historic ex-cargo carrying boat.

School groups should book in advance and get our group discount fares. Booking is simple either by telephone or email and payment can be made on the day or in advance.

What makes us a great choice?

The trips provides an opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of history, geography, design and technology, engineering and art and allows classroom learning to be seen in practice. The trip also gives an insight into the fascinating and historic way of life of the canal community and the way our heritage has been adapted to be part of the modern world.
