Testimonials

These are from Trip Advisor reviews (both family visits, not an educational visit)

Review 1

We had our whole family to stay at the Ilam Bunkhouse and had a lovely stay in this very beautiful area of Britain. We were right in the centre of great walking opportunities for short walks and longer too! The Bunkhouse had everything to allow us to cater for ourselves and a washer/dryer for any laundry that we required. There was ample crockery, glasses and cutlery with a very usable cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. The combined living eating area was comfortable and a good place for play and chatting very airy and spacious a home from home. We all agreed we would book the Bunkhouse again. The time went too quickly.

Review 2

I was part of a small party staying at the Ilam Bunkhouse, a newly renovated part of the stable block at Ilam Hall. The location in the Peak District National Park is beautiful, ideal for walking and cycling. We had an excellent evening meal at the adjoining Youth Hostel, but could have self catered at the Bunkhouse where the kitchen facilities and equipment were ample. Sleeping arrangements were in rooms with 4 to 6 bunks - not much space in the rooms but very comfortable bunks. Shower rooms were very clean with plenty of hot water. The large communal living area, open plan with the kitchen, had plenty of seating and table area which was conducive to easy socializing.
