Blackland Farm is an activity centre in the Sussex countryside offering a range of accommodation including self-catering buildings, campsites and tented village.
There is a wide range of adventurous activities on offer with additional resources where relevant to create an exciting programme all in one place for your day visit or residential.
Our reception/office is situated near the main gate and a member of staff is contactable 24 hours a day in case of emergencies.
Our on-site activities cater and align to key stage objectives and curriculum topics. We are able to offer specific tailor made residential or day visits to suit the needs of the group.
Blackland Farm offers a range of on-site adventurous activities and can create a package suitable for a wide range of requirements covering the curriculum, relationship building, confidence building and much more.
Situated within easy reach of London and in the glorious Sussex countryside we can help you to make the best of your stay including off-site trips to nearby attractions including The Bluebell Railway.
We cater for groups from 20 to over 2500 dependent upon the type of residential required.
Our four self-catered buildings and 39 campsites can accommodate a range of group sizes and can be booked together for larger groups. Our Tented Village can accommodate 30 and is accessible for those with restricted mobility. We can accommodate a total number of 2500 for large scale full-site events.

First aiders are on-site for all activities. Groups are required to cover their own first aid requirements at times other than at activities. There are qualified first aiders available if support is required or in the event of an emergency.
The site has a number of visitor services and facilities including;
Small souvenir and tuck shop.
Picnic areas including sheltered picnic sites.
Each building has a communal room for the exclusive use of the group.
Local delivery food services will also deliver to the site if required.
Three of our self-catering buildings are accessible for the disabled as well as our tented village and a number of our campsites.
We are more than happy for groups to visit the site to check the suitability of the accommodation for their specific needs.

Situated near East Grinstead, Blackland Farm is well located for travel by road, rail and air.
East Grinstead station is 4 miles away with regular, direct trains to London and Gatwick airport - we can help you to arrange transfers if required.
National Express coaches operate to East Grinstead which is a short taxi ride away.
Blackland Farm has parking for coaches and minibus for those driving to the site.
A range of accommodation options exist from our 39 campsites to self-catering in one of our four buildings.
Weavers accommodates 38 with up to 32 in dormitory rooms and 6 in teacher's rooms. Weavers has a common room and fitted kitchen along with gas central heating. (Gas and electric included) There is a private grassed area along with a spacious veranda. Weavers is accessible for those with a disability.
Restrop sleeps 25 with 22 in dormitory style accommodation and 3 teacher's rooms. The accommodation includes a common room and kitchen and electric heating.
Wagtail Lodge accommodates 30 with one large dormitory room and 4 in a teacher's room. A common room and kitchen are available with electric heating. Wagtail has a private grassed area and is accessible for those with a disability.
Herons is available between October and March and can sleep 20. The accommodation has a common room and kitchen with electric heating. (Gas and electric included.) Herons has a private grassed area and is accessible for those with a disability.
The Tented Village accommodates 30 people across five tents with nearby toilet, shower and outdoor cooking facilities.
There are 39 campsites catering for a range of groups, including restricted mobility access sites. You can choose from sites with toilet, shower blocks and cooking facilities or go back to basics on one of our sites with just a water tap. Camping equipment can be provided where required.
