What we offer on a school trip
Celtic Harmony Camp are delighted to be UK School Trips venue of the month!
Celtic harmony is an award winning education charity bringing prehistory to life, with 17 years providing experiential learning within a real Iron Age settlement. Let our experts provide your class with a WOW Prehistory day packed with hands-on activities. Book your school trip for February 2016 onwards. If you want a Prehistory Day before then, our clan can come to your school between 16 November and 12 February 2016.
Celtic Harmony Camp, the Iron Age settlement has roundhouses and farm animals, located in a beautiful working woodland setting and has been offering hands-on heritage education for over fifteen years with a dedicated education team of archers, warriors, storytellers, farmers, woodsmen and weavers. Your class will learn more about the natural world and life in ancient Britain first-hand. Pupils also experience a more sustainable way of life for the future with sustainable facilities such as a solar powered green toilet.
The unique hands-on approach and enthusiasm of our education leaders in the stimulating setting of a reconstructed Iron Age settlement, gives your class an experience they will be talking about for the rest of the year.
There are several options covering different age ranges and subjects including Stone Age day and Iron Age Farmer, Warrior and Chieftain days.
The new history curriculum for KS2 studies prehistory from Stone to Iron Age and a focus on local history in KS1. Children get hands on experience of ancient activities bringing this period to life, and giving another perspective to what they have learnt in the classroom.

Children learn about similarities and differences in relation to places, objects, materials and living things. They talk about the features of their own immediate environment and how environments might vary from one another. They make observations of animals and plants and talk about changes.
Children use what they have learnt about media and materials in original ways, thinking about uses and purposes. They represent their own ideas, thoughts and feelings through design and technology, art, role-play and stories.
With 15 years in Outdoor Education, Celtic Harmony demonstrates how to bring Outdoor activities into every day teaching at School.
Open to all teachers, we encourage you not miss a great day for you and your colleagues. Value your people by using the team building expertise at Celtic Harmony to bring your staff together and learn more about working creatively with natural materials.
Absolutely very inspiring day filled with usable ideas and information on a completely new area for us at school. Thank you for looking after us so well. Dominique Denremont St Catherine of Siena - 25/09/2014
