What we offer

Commando Joe's: bespoke workshops including topics such as survival skills in the arctic, mountaineering at Mount Everest and The World's Greatest living explorer: Ranulph Fiennes

Snowbotics: Mixing snow with science this year, we've launched our new computer science workshops in partnership with Computing at School (a new DofE funded scheme to provide leadership and strategic guidance for staff involved in computing education in Schools). Exercises include programming Minecraft in Python, Learning programming with Raspberry Pi and using human programming to learn set instructions

Discovery Boxes: “Polar Regions” or “Forces in Action” Discovery boxes are self-guided resources to use on the snow to further explore National Curriculum topics. They are full of tasks and challenges to complete on the snow on the day and back in the classroom to carry on your learning experience beyond your time at Chill Factore. They are designed to make learning fun, interactive and memorable.

Lessons and Course Programmes: This year we have launched a primary and pre-school lesson programme where our aim is to make snow sports fun and accessible to all children. We offer all day beginner lessons as well as 3-10 week courses

Snow Park and Mini Moose Land: Our snow park is a thrilling real snow wonderland with a variety of great rides to get the adrenalin going.

Path to Pyeongchang 2018 - To celebrate the Winter Olympics in 2018, we offer a fantastic activity day package available from March - July (£25 per person). Includes 1 hour climbing, 50 min ski or snowboard taster lesson and 1 hour snow park pas

"Our students have loved every minute of the sessions and many have progressed to ‘the very top’ of the main slope. It has been a joy to see them learn new skills, interacting with others and enjoy an experience that can only be described as a “Life Experience’!

The experience has been greatly assisted by a brilliant set of instructors who calmly and expertly got ALL our students skiing, building confidence and making falling over fun!?
Again, many many thanks!"  John Williams - Learning Technology Manager

“One pupil had very low self confidence issues and would not socialize with others pupils at school and was very withdrawn. By coming to the ski course and learning a new skill he came out of himself and became a more confident young person and even came on the ski trip to Saalbach with the school. He grew and developed as an individual through the skiing and has carried on his new skill.”  Sally Cheshire
