What we offer on a school trip
Gliding up gently from ground level to a height of 138 meters (450 feet), the futuristic glass pod will take your students on a voyage of innovation and discovery, during which they will be inspired by what is possible when they aim high.
British Airways i360 was conceived and designed by Marks Barfield Architects, creators of the London Eye, and has won multiple awards for innovation, construction and design.
From the giant glass pod, up to 175 visitors at a time can admire panoramic 360-degree views across Regency Brighton & Hove, the South Downs National Park, the English Channel and the beautiful Sussex coastline. On the clearest days, guests can see all the way east to Beachy Head (17 miles) and west to the Isle of Wight (49 miles). Discover more about the many landmarks visible from the pod using the viewing map and free app, which is available in 10 languages.
During their visit, schools can enjoy the free exhibition: ‘British Airways i360: How it Was Built’, to learn more about the pioneering engineering and cutting-edge design that places British Airways i360 at the forefront of British architecture.
Groups can also browse the shop for a range of educational items, gifts and toys, many created by local Brighton artists.
