BPM PRO Event (DJ, Studio, Sound & Lighting) Genting Arena, NEC Birmingham
BPM Pro Show Genting Arena - NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT
What we offer
BPM | PRO gives your students the chance to ignite their creativity and learn more about DJ and studio technology and professional sound and lighting. The event features an area dedicated to LEARN sessions, which give students a chance to take music production masterclasses with world-renowned producers and gain insight into how to get ahead in the industry. Getting hands-on with the latest tech is also a big part of BPM | PRO, and on the show floor students will find exhibition stands from all the top brands, each with new products for them to try out. Meanwhile, if it's professional audio and visual creativity that inspires your young people, then they?ll find plenty of inspiration on the FX Stage - an award-winning feature that provides explosive demonstrations of live pyrotechnics and special effects.
On top of all this, inside the CHAUVET Arena - a nightclub-style performance space - students can soak-up creativity from a range of DJs and producers, while Q and A sessions provide youngsters with a chance to pitch questions to their favourite artists. All of this culminates in a healthy educational experience that combines learning opportunities with music performance and technology demonstrations to guarantee an unforgettable day out.
The event features spectacular visual effects and interaction for visitors, including strobe lighting and pyrotechnic special effects. Certain parts of the event are quite loud and visually stimulating. We provide ear defenders along with specialist earplugs at reception, and do suggest using them. It's up to you to decide whether the event is suitable for any particular individual within your group. We do not recommend the event for under-5s.
What makes us a great choice?
When it comes to our young visitors, our aim is to inspire and educate! Students will be amazed by our new home inside the Genting Arena - a unique, atmospheric space that's perfect for hosting memorable performances and informative education sessions. Another reason BPM | PRO is ideal for young people is our show floor, which is interactive in nature, allowing visitors to try out and ask questions about the latest DJ, studio, sound and lighting innovations. Perhaps our crowning jewel, however, is the event's LEARN sessions - a series of educational seminars and workshops that allow youngsters to develop their skills, build their knowledge and follow their dreams.
The event is ideal for KS3 and upwards. Groups of younger pupils are always welcome, but we do recommend a higher adult to pupil ratio in these instances, as it can get very loud and visually stimulating. Please note that under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Group Sizes Catered For
Groups of all types and sizes are welcome to BPM | PRO 2017. We recommend splitting into small groups when at the event to get the most of the day. Please ensure that your group meets the adult-to-pupil ratio for your school.
