What we offer
Just a short walk from Borth railway station and the beach it's a place where you can get up close and personal to over 100 different species of animals, birds, reptiles and insects to learn about them and gain a better appreciation for all kinds of wildlife.
We provide educational talks and shows on the animals, covering their needs, their behaviour, their habitat and the importance of conservation.
Join us for an intimate animal experience and a day to remember for all the family.
We offer additional Zoo Keeper Days, Individual Animal Experiences and the chance to Adopt an Animal.
What makes us a great choice?
We want to bring you closer to the animals during your visit.
We offer reptile shows, animal interactions, talks and feeding times with some of the animals. Pony Rides that will be a fantastic experience for your young ones during the summertime. Using small Shetland ponies, these strong miniature breeds will take your children and babies around a quiet, calm and steady 3 minute ride around the top paddock. Wearing Western type saddles, the riders are able to hold on to the pommel and be led by the bridle. Children's safety is ensured as the pony is in the control of the handler at all times. All children wear fitted safety hats to ensure their welfare.
Pony grooming opportunities may be available if the weather isn't up to scratch! For all pony activities shoes and not sandals must be worn.
What is typically included?
We want to bring you closer to these animals and give you a better understanding of how they would live in the wild if their habitat wasn’t being destroyed.
School visits can be booked by telephone, and a special talk and demonstration can be offered with 'hands on' experiences with various reptiles and small mammals (depending on the age and interest of the children). Various animals may be included and times can be adjusted to suit. This talk is entertaining and educational and aims to add to and consolidate the national curriculum.
School parties are free to explore the whole Animal Kingdom at their leisure and are welcome to use our facilities or bring packed lunches which can be eaten inside or out.
Schools visit Borth Wild Animal Kingdom for a fun day out, but we also offer an educational experience which is enriching and stimulating. Encouraging an interest in conservation and animal welfare.
A special low price can be arranged for schools that intend to visit for educational reasons and a teacher goes free with every 10 children.
