What we offer

Beamish Wild offers a complete range of outdoor activities and we pride ourselves in tailoring every single visit to ensure young people get the most out of the day.

Some of the activities available at the centre range from the 25 element High Ropes Course, Abseil Platforms and Climbing Towers to the equally popular Archery, Shelter Building and Scavenger Hunts.

Every group has a dedicated member of staff allocated for the duration of the visit to ensure the day is enjoyed by students and teachers alike.

Beamish Wild is located on the grounds of Best Western Beamish Hall and easily accessible from Newcastle, Durham and Sunderland.

Activities offered are exempt from AALA.

What is typically included?

Typical visits include access to our 25 element High Ropes Course, Archery, Shelter Building and survival sessions to name but a few.

Our wide range of activities are available from KS2 right through to University and all our packages are tailor made to your educational goals and budget.

Group Sizes Catered For

We welcome groups of 10 to 250 pupils.

Materials, Resources & Information Provided

Work sheets are provided and include pre and post visit classroom activities.

Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions

There are no copy write restrictions and you are more than welcome to take pictures or videos.

Risk Assessment Details

Risk assessments and insurance certificate are provided at the time of enquiry. Should you wish to visit us prior to the event and complete your own risk assessment we are more than happy to arrange a visit.

Pricing Information

Packages start at just £10 per person and we never charge for accompanying staff/teachers.

Clothing Requirements

Outdoor clothing and footwear recommended.

First Aid Information

First aid available on site and you will always have access to trained and qualified staff.

Available Facilities

Shop, cafe, Pub and Restaurant onsite.

There is also ample seating area for packed lunches.

Accessibility & Disabled Facilities

We welcome disabled groups however some activities may be inaccessible so please let us know at the time of enquiry to ensure most suitable activities are included in your day's schedule.

Opening Hours & Information

We are open to groups all year around and can be completely flexible with arrival and departure times.


I could not fault the day at all. The activities were well designed and well executed; the staff were friendly and helpful; the surroundings were beautiful and the food was of a very high quality.
