What we offer

Many of our beautiful and engaging residents have been with us for many years, since our days as a private, exotic animal sanctuary.

Our doors are open all year round, and our keepers are always on hand to answer questions, explain the animals stories and how they came to the Ark

As well as the wonderful outside areas, visitors also benefit from popular indoor attractions such as the Tropical/reptile House, Meerkat and Familiar Friends Barn and an all weather activity area.

There is also a large outdoor play zone for children and the family friendly, Kalahari Cafe, offering a delicious selection of locally made cakes, savouries and other refreshments.

What makes us a great choice?

With one of the most diverse ranges of animals in the area, unique animal encounter sessions and an ethical approach to animal care and management by offering homes to rescued animals, the Ark promotes responsible pet/animal care and for visiting school groups their own private animal encounter session that can be tailored to the curriculum with plenty of opportunities for Q&A with the keepers.
