Fencing
Fencing school trips and workshops, provide your pupils with a fun physical indoor and outdoor activity for primary and secondary schools to experience. Your pupils will develop and learn skills such as agility, concentration, hand and eye co-ordination through these sport activity sessions.
Fencing sessions are taught by experienced instructors with a very high level of safety and protective equipment is provided such as face mask, padded jacket/trousers and tipped foils.
Pupils in fencing sessions will learn specialist words and key movements such as ‘On Guard’, lunging, riposte and parring. These bouts generally consist of 2 students at a time, 3 sessions of 3-minute periods, 1 minute between periods, or until one fencer has scored 15 hits. But this can be structured differently for larger groups.
