What is typically included on our school trips
Schools are welcome to visit Tower Bridge on a self-guided visit or to take part in our facilitated programme of tours and workshops, which are included free with admission.
Facilitated Programme
We offer full day (10.30 – 14.00) or half day (10.30 – 12 / 13.00 – 14.30) facilitated visits for schools.
Half day visits involve a tour of the Towers, high level Walkways (including the glass floor), and the fascinating Victorian Engine Rooms.
Full day visits include the tour above, plus a hands-on workshop of your choice. Workshops cover a variety of topics and are suitable for different ages. For further information, please see our on-site workshops page.

Self-Guided Visits

Facilitated Visits:
Minimum – 10 pupils
Maximum – 30 pupils
Self-Guided Visits:
There is no maximum. However, your group may be split into smaller numbers due to capacity. This will be advised when booking.

Our learning resources page contains a selection of activities – perfect for embedding your visit into your classroom learning, or as a standalone resource.
Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions
Personal photography and filming are permitted in all areas.
Commercial filming requires additional approval.
Risk Assessment Details
We can provide risk assessments on request. However, we encourage group leaders to complete their own assessment on a pre-visit.
We can provide 1 free ticket per group to facilitate this.

Pricing Information
Our group (10 or more people) admission prices are:
£5 per child.
£9.80 per adult.
Key Stage 1 groups receive 1 free adult place per 6 pupils.
Key Stages 2 groups receive 1 free adult place per 10 pupils.
Key Stages 3 and 4 groups receive 1 free adult place per 15 pupils.
Adults providing 1:1 support also receive a free adult place.
Workshops and tours are included in the standard admission price, so there is no additional charge.
London schools may be eligible for a grant to cover the cost of their visit and associated costs.
First Aid Information
First aiders are always available on site.
Available Facilities
Tower Bridge has toilet facilities (including accessible toilet facilities) in the South Tower and Engine Rooms.
There is a gift shop in the Engine Rooms.
Schools visiting on a full day visit (workshop and tour) will be provided with a place to eat lunch.
Unfortunately, we do not have the space to provide a lunch space for self-guided or half day (tour only) visits, although there is a large park next to Tower Bridge which is perfect for a picnic with a view!
Accessibility & Disabled Facilities
We are DDA compliant and have lift access to all areas of Tower Bridge. An accessible toilet is available in the South Tower and in the Engine Rooms.
Large print guides, a quiet room, and plenty of seating is also available.
Staff are trained in ways to best support visitors with additional needs.

Opening Hours & Information
Tower Bridge is open every day (except for the 24th, 25th, and 26th December) between 9.30 and 17.00.
Facilitated visits can be arranged for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during term times.
