What we offer on a school trip
Pierrepont Farm is the flagship Mosaic Education site from The Countryside Restoration Trust. Home to an award-winning herd of Jersey dairy cows, an enchanting woodland, and a wildlife pond, this site is the ideal venue for an exciting and enriching school trip. We offer a wide range of food, farming, and wildlife themed activities on this working dairy farm.
A trip to Pierrepont Farm offers so much more than just an ordinary farm visit. Our carefully crafted, interactive activity sessions are aligned to the Early Years Framework and the KS1/2 National Curriculum objectives, so you can rest assured that the learning outcomes are both age appropriate and relevant. Activity sessions are led by qualified education professionals who promote and encourage a lasting love and understanding of our wonderful countryside. A fun-filled day could include a visit to the cows and robotic milking parlour, a spot of pond dipping, or even a woodland adventure. We help children piece together the farming and wildlife mosaic, allowing them to fully appreciate and understand the importance of the countryside.
We also offer activity trips for Beaver Colonies and Cub Packs too. The Learning Adventures we’ve created have been aligned to the Scouts Activity Badges so that Beavers and Cubs not only have fun during a visit, but earn their badge too.
