What we offer on a school trip
Take to the skies to see Brighton and the beautiful south coast as you have never seen them before. Glide up gently to 450ft in our futuristic glass viewing pod, which was conceived and designed by Marks Barfield Architects, creators of the London Eye.
Admire 360-degree views across Brighton & Hove, the South Downs National Park, the UNESCO Biosphere, the Rampion Windfarm and, on the clearest days, all the way along the coast to the Isle of Wight (49 miles away.
What makes us a great choice for education?
The pod
The glass viewing pod is fully enclosed and spacious – it’s 10 times the size of a London Eye capsule. There is room for up to 175 visitors to stand at the edge of the pod and look out, or to move around and see the view from different angles. Our friendly in-flight crew will welcome you on board, point out landmarks and answer any questions. The pod is heated and air-conditioned to ensure year-round comfort and it is fully accessible for wheelchair users.
A viewing map is available, and a multi-lingual app can be download before you board. The app has ‘pre-flight’ information about how British Airways i360 was built, as well as an in-app viewing map and a children’s section with fun facts and a treasure hunt. The content can be enjoyed in a choice of languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin.
At the end of your flight, the pod descends into the beach building.

Testimonials
About The Visit to The i360:
Attie (Y5): "Visiting the i360 was so cool - I loved seeing the artwork on the top of local buildings!"
Hannah (Y5): "It was a fun experience. I loved looking down at people on the ground - they looked like ants!"
Teacher (Maurice Leahy): "The children were thrilled to visit the i360. It allowed them to see their local area in different way and they were surprised at the new things they spotted. From a teaching and learning point of view, the school was able to capture their enthusiasm and we took part in an exciting writing project. Children used some the writing techniques from i360 promotional materials and created media for their own viewing towers. It was a big hit and a project we will certainly repeat in the future."
About the KS2 Writing Project:
Attie: "I really enjoyed creating my own viewing tower. I could imagine people visiting my tower and having fun. My tower had a video game theme and you could sky dive from it."
Hannah: "It was an exciting project. I imagined I was very rich, so I could make any tower I wanted. I designed a platform you could jump from and land on a giant soft cushion."
