What makes us a great choice for education?

We offer a fantastic trip to the theatre for you and your group, offering both shows that support what you are studying on the curriculum, or exciting new titles that keep your whole group entertained! 

With easy booking, free parking and many schools and group ticket offers available, we are the ideal venue to host your trip.

What is typically included on our school trips?

For some performances, education packs may be available to further enhance your theatre trip. Pre and post-show talks are also available on some shows. 

We can also arrange backstage tours and familiarization visits on request. Please email castle.info@parkwoodtheatres.co.uk to arrange a visit.

Group Sizes Catered For

Our main theatre can seat up to 499 people, and our studio up to 100 depending on the event.

Photography, Filming & Audio Restrictions

Photography and recording is not permitted in the theatre.

Pricing Information

We offer a wide range of offers for schools and groups. Where there are specific schools prices, we offer 1 teacher ticket free with every 10 student tickets purchased.

First Aid Information

A first aider will be in the building during any live performance or organized tour.

Available Facilities

We have a well-stocked bar with a wide range of soft drinks and snacks available.

It may be possible to organize an area for your group to eat a packed lunch if organized at the point of booking.

Accessibility & Disabled Facilities

We have disabled parking outside the theatre, and level access to the venue. We have accessible toilets on the ground level, lift access to all other levels, and accessible toilets on other levels too.

We have limited numbers of wheelchair seats in the theatre, these can't currently be booked online and must be booked by contacting the Box Office.

We also have a hearing loop.

Opening Hours & Information

Our Box Office is open Mon - Sat 10am - 4pm. When there is a performance, our Box Office will open 1 hour prior to the performance and remain open until 15 minutes after the last performance starts for counter sales and ticket collection.
