What we offer on a school trip
Staunton Farm is a fantastic place to visit with children of all ages. The site contains a small ornamental farm containing goats, pigs, cows and rabbits to name a few! We also have a beautiful walled garden, tropical glasshouse, sensory garden and maze.
The site hosts an indoor and outdoor play area, tea rooms and plenty of grassy areas for a picnic.
What makes us a great choice for education?
Staunton Farm is a great place to come for a school visit. Our sessions are all bespoke and tailored around you and your current topic. We are a safe, small and accessible site so perfect for the first school trip!
We can do sessions based on any subject such as farm animals, minibeasts, plants, sensory or a completely bespoke topic. Our Education Officers are experienced and knowledgeable and can adjust their teaching to any age.
Guided school groups have the exclusive use of our Gothic Library or Naturalist hut to store their belongings and to eat lunch in case of bad weather.
Staunton is easily accessible from the A3 or A27.
Accreditation and Awards
Staunton Farm currently has the Learning outside the Classroom Quality Badge due for renewal in November. We are also a member of the National Farm Attractions Network.
What is typically included on our school trips?
We offer a variety of topics ranging from farm sessions to plants, from sensory to rainforests. Each session is bespoke and we aim to tailor make each session based on the schools current topic.
