What is typically included on our school trips?

Our workshops typically consist of a carousel of activities, usually lasting 25-30 minutes during which pupils explore different aspects of the topic under study.

Workshops can be tailored to the needs of schools and classes to provide a bespoke experience. 
Self guided visits usually comprise a visit to the house and zoo followed by play in the gardens.

Group Sizes Catered For

We can cater for about 30 students in a workshop, but can tailor workshops to accommodate more over the course of the day.

Photography by groups has to be by prior arrangement.

Risk Assessment Details

Booking school visits are booked through the Estate Office. 
Teachers can come on a reconnaissance visit should they wish. 
We provide risk assessments for teachers.

Pricing Information

Any pre booked which contains 20 or more will get 25% discounted admission rate.

First Aid Information

There is always a first aider on site, but schools should bring their own first aider where possible.

Sewerby Hall and gardens is full accessible for disables persons and also has a changing places room.

Opening Hours & Information

Monday – Sunday 9.30am – 5pm until 6 November. Seasonal opening through the winter months until Easter.
