Special Educational Needs (SEN)

SEN is the practice of educating students with special educational needs in a way that addresses their individual differences. There is no better environment for this to be reflected than on a SEN school trip providing kinaesthetic learning (learn by doing) plus important visual and sensory experiences.  Many of our venues provide excellent facilities and highly trained personnel to support this.

Here at Runway’s End Outdoor Centre, school groups can enjoy residential and day trip activity opportunities which involve numerous outdoor adventurous activities and even some watersports.

Provides an outdoor education experience to groups who are primarily disadvantaged in some way or shape. A traditional Outdoor Centre set in a rural  location, portraying the natural woodland feel of the 36-acre area within which the Centre is situated.

Bocketts Farm Park is situated within the stunning countryside and offers students the opportunity to experience farm life in detail. Students can watch the pig race, ride on a tractor, cuddle with the rabbits and also feed many of the animals.

We offer our cinemas out for school or group bookings to show current releases, a requested film or space to use as a presentation area. We can source most films whether the visit is a treat or for educational purposes we cater for SEN schools.

Science Dome offers a variety of shows for all age groups, including the Moon landings, a trip through the Solar System, Rocks and Soils, and Dinosaurs.
